Does honey is a magical potion? No it's not a magical potion but then why it doesn't get spoiled? How can that be possible?

Let's know,

Honey doesn't spoil mainly because of the osmosis. Osmosis is the movement of water from a region of higher water concentration through a semi - permeable membrane to a region of lower water concentration.

The water content in honey is far less than the water content in the organisms like bacteria and fungi. Hence, when such organisms try to entry in honey, the water from there body move out to the honey due to osmosis. As a result the organisms die and thus, the honey doesn't spoil.

In addition to this some bees produce antibiotics in their body to protect themselves from certain diseases. However, when bees make honey some of this antibiotics get added to the honey.

This antibiotics also protects the honey from the bacteria and protecting it from getting spoil. As the honey prevents the bacteria from entering and doesn't get spoiled, it is also used for medicinal purpose.
