Sometimes you see moon during the day. We know that moon is brightest object in the night sky but during the day the sun is much brighter. Then why is it ?
The moon looks brighter in the night because of the light reflecting off from moon's surface. The sun always lights the one side of moon but we cannot see it everytime as the moon orbits the earth.

We can see moon sometimes when it's a clear day and the moon is not hiding low in the sky.
Look for the moon today, if it is becoming smaller each day (waning) ,look for it after sunrise in the morning. If it is becoming bigger each day (waxing) ,look for it before sunset in the late afternoon or evening.
The moon is not seen during the day if it is full moon day or new moon day.
