Why there are stickers on the some of the fruits and vegetables?

Most of the people don't pay attention to the stickers on the fruits and vegetables but they have a reason for being stuck,

Let's see, 

This sticker is called as PLU sticker, it's the short form of Product Look Up. This sticker has 4 or 5 digit number that let the cashiers know the price of the product and what type of product is it. 

Many people thought that the fruits and vegetables with stickers are of the best quality but that's not the case.

 If the number on sticker has 5 digits and starts with 9 then that product is natural and healthy. And if this 4 digit code starts with 8 then that fruit or vegetable is genetically modified.

The products with has only 4 digits and starts with 3 or 4 then they are artificial means they are grown with the help of pesticides and other chemicals. 

This is reason behind the stickers on the fruits and vegetables.
