You guess the age of someone by seeing wrinkles on them, but what prevents the wrinkles? What causes the wrinkles? When the wrinkles are caused?

Here's why,

When you are young you don't have wrinkles because the skin does a great job of stretching and holding up moisture. The dermis has a elastic quality which has elastin fibres that keep the skin looking young. There is also a protein in the dermis called collagen which also prevents the wrinkles.

But over the time, the dermis loses both the elastin and collagen as a result the skin gets thinner and the epidermis doesn't get much moisture. The fat in the subcutaneous layer that gives skin a plump appearance also begins to disappear, which causes the epidermis to sag and thus, wrinkles forms.

Some of them get wrinkles in the 20s, some may not have wrinkles till the 50s or 60s also because of their genes means their parents also got the wrinkles late. The sebum (skin's natural oil) also helps to take care of our skin naturally.

However, everyone have atleast a few of wrinkles because it's natural part of aging.
