The numbers which we use, which is also called as Arabic numeral system. Why they have their shape like this also. Means, why don't they are written in other shapes,
Let's know why,
There are various number systems like devnanagri, Arabic-indic and many more. They all have their different shapes. But we are talking about Arabic numeral system and why there shapes are like this, it can be different also.

The number 1 makes 1 angle.
The number 2 makes 2 angles.
The number 3 makes 3 angles.
Like this,The number 8 makes 8 angles.
The number 9 makes 9 angles.
Similarly,
Number 0 have zero angles.
So, the reason why the number have their own specific shape is because of angles. The number of angles decides the the number.
So the shapes of number are created after taking the angles into consideration.
