Why do our phone's screen works only with our fingers or skin ?

Touching the phone with stick, wearing gloves,etc., does not work, only finger works.

Because now the the screens of smartphones do not sense the pressure at all. Most modern smartphones uses capacitive touchscreens or capicitive sensing in it.

Capacitive touchscreens works when there electrostatic disruptions near the digitizer due to sensing. Touching the screen by your finger changes the current through the digitizer because our fingers are somewhat electrically conductive.

The reason why the the other things doesn't work because they are not electrically conductive. Glass is also electrically conductive that's why we have it's screen cover on the phones.

You have also seen that if water is there on your screen then the screen runs automatically because water is also somewhat electrically conductive.

You can try running your phone's screen with batteries of your rc cars and T.V. remotes.
