Is Running Bad For Knees?

Some people believe that running is bad for knees because they believe it causes arthritis. However, a research states the opposite,

Let's see,

In this research, volunteers were made run for 30 minutes on a treadmill. After running, certain substances associated with arthritis were found less in the synovial fluid which is present in the knee, and more in the blood.

Thus, because of running these substances might have been squeezed out of knees. But, certain factors could cause trouble to our knees. Like, running on concrete surfaces can damage the cartilage in knee joints.

This can be avoided by running on softer surface, which will be more joint friendly. Another factor is weight, heavier the person, higher the risk of knee injuries. Wearing the right shoes while running is also important. Lastly, cartilage loss could happen with age, increasing the risk of knee injuries.
