Some people think that lines on the palm foretell the future through the practice of palmistry. But, scientifically it's different,

Let's know,

The lines on a palm or Palmer flexion creases helps the hand's skin stretch and squeeze. They are also helpful in identifying certain medical conditions. The Palmer creases are develop before the birth.

This lines are present so that you can clench you hand, as this lines provide an avenue for the hand's skin to fold without bunching up and making it difficult to grab onto items. This might be the reason why there are strong creases where the bones in the fingers and thumb meet.

Most people have two main lines across the palm but some have a single ‘Simian crease’. This can be inherited normally on one or both hands, but this can be associated with down's syndrome and other conditions.

The thickness and number of creases on your palms also depends on factors such as family history and race.

Palmistry claims's that the lines on the palms reveal your personality, but there is no evidence for it to be proved.
